Weak willed

I very nearly broke down last night and had some ice cream because it was "close enough" to the end of Lent, BUT I DIDN'T! I'm still on the (modified) wagon.

Saturday can't come soon enough.

New Rule

Apparently, milkshakes on Sundays don't count as sweets in Lent.

I had a dream

Last night, I dreamt about deserts. I had a dream that I was eating lemon squares and fudge brownies with powdered sugar on them. I don't know if it was happenstance or if it's like dreaming about smoking cigarettes when trying to quit smoking. I suspect the latter.

Another try

I have now been without sweets for 2 weeks. I ostensibly gave them "for Lent." I've tried giving up sweets for Lent before, but I always ended up modifying it in some way--Sundays didn't count, then weekends didn't count, then it would devolve into not-buying-sweets-during-the-week.

I'm on the sweets wagon. Until Easter.

I realized that for a month or so I've been riding the Shaving Anything But My Neck Wagon.

I'm off the wagon. I couldn't do it. I wanted to do it, but I failed.
